The BLB Woodball League

The BLB Woodball League will conclude on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole. The League is sponsored by Buganda Land Board.

Men’s Title Race

The BLB Woodball League 2017 to go on wire on the last day of competition as all the top 7 teams are in contention to win the Men’s title.
Botladz Woodball Club tops the men’s points log with 43 points from 17 games played and 8 points ahead of 2nd placed Zoe Woodball Club.
Botladz Woodball Club has been the table leader since day one of the BLB Woodball League 2017 and require 6 points to seal the title.
Four points separate 2nd placed Zoe Woodball Club and 7th placed St. Joseph’s Technical Institute Kisubi.

Women’s Title Race

Women’s title race is between two Ndejje-based teams, Ndejje University and Ndejje Corporate Woodball Club.
Ndejje University tops the women’s points log with 28 points, 1 better than Ndejje Corporate Woodball Club.
The women’s table leadership has exchanged amongst Stroke Woodball Club, Zoe Woodball Club, Ndejje Corporate Woodball Club and Ndejje University.

Stroke Woodball Club poses the major challenge to both teams’ title quest.
Stroke Woodball Club faces-off with Ndejje University and then Ndejje Corporate on the last day of the BLB Woodball League 2017.

In the reverse fixtures, Stroke secured a point from each of the teams; Nanjeru Denise Pulkeria (Stroke) defeated Mukoya Florence (Ndejje University) 5:4 after 14 fairways whereas Operu Viola (Stroke) defeated Zawedde Lillian (Ndejje Corporate) 5:3 after 11 fairways.

3rd placed Zoe Woodball Club have seemingly easy fixtures against Buganda Land Board and Proway Woodball Club.
Zoe won 3:0 against Buganda Land Board and 2:1 against Proway Woodball Club earlier in the BLB Woodball League 2017.

All teams will aim for maximum points from the two games scheduled that day.
