Kayongo gets third term shot

The Uganda Woodball Federation Congress has voted Paul Mark Kayongo to head the fast growing sport for another 4-year term. The federation held its polls over the weekend at its Nakulabye – Kampala headquarters to elect 10 members of the executive that will run the affairs from 2017 to 2020. Kayongo, voted unopposed during the election, was given a third term shot at the helm of the sport he founded in Uganda in 2006. He doubles as IWbFexecutive member in charge of Africa.


The polls also saw six members sail through unopposed and four new faces join the new executive committee. Those returned unopposed included General Secretary Collins Semanda and Public Relations Officer Namayo Mawerere while the new faces are Assistant Secretary Grace Orone, Technical Director JB. Bukenya, Prossy Nankya to represent the females and Aziz Nsimbi for the males. Sarah Mpiima who was the previous female representative was elevated to the treasurer post in the elections that had the remaining four positions hotly contested.
