The 5th Week of the BLB Woodball League was held on September 7, 2024, at Uganda Prisons, Luzira, where the nation’s top woodball teams faced off in a series of thrilling matches. This pivotal event in the league calendar saw both men’s and women’s teams battle it out, with some of the finest talents on display.
Men’s Team Highlights:
- Prisons Woodball Club dominated the men’s team rankings, finishing at the top with 270 fairways won and a total of 41 points. Their consistent performance keeps them at the forefront of the league.
- University of Kisubi closely followed with 36 points, showcasing strong competition throughout the event.
- Stroke Woodball Club finished third, with 34 points and an impressive 250 fairways won.
Men’s Team Standings (Top 5):
- Prisons Woodball Club – 41 points
- University of Kisubi – 36 points
- Stroke Woodball Club – 34 points
- Kampala University – 32 points
- Makerere University – 31 points
Women’s Team Highlights:
- In the women’s category, Ministry of Public Service maintained their top spot with a commanding 226 fairways won and 35 points.
- Ndejje University followed closely with 30 points, continuing their push for the top spot.
- Kampala University rounded off the top three with 28 points, proving to be a strong contender in the league.

- Kampala University – 28 points
- Makerere University Business School – 27 points
- Eminents Woodball Club – 26 points
Standout Performers:
Among the standout players, Agaba Moses from Kampala University led the men’s singles rankings with 88 fairways won, followed closely by Musaazi Micheal of University of Kisubi with 82 fairways. In the women’s singles category, Babirye Nalwoga Noeline of University of Kisubi shone with 78 fairways won, placing her at the top of the rankings.
This week’s league event marked another milestone for both men and women woodball teams, setting the stage for a thrilling final stretch in the league.
