The 6th Week of the Woodball League was held on September 14, 2024, at Makerere University Rugby Grounds, featuring some of Uganda’s top woodball talent. Both men’s and women’s teams participated, showcasing skill and determination as they competed for top spots in the league.
Men’s Team Highlights:
- Prisons Woodball Club continued to dominate the men’s rankings, finishing with 45 points and winning 296 fairways.
- University of Kisubi came in a close second with 43 points and 280 fairways.
- Makerere University rounded out the top three with 38 points and 277 fairways.

Women’s Team Highlights:
- Ministry of Public Service led the women’s rankings with 42 points and 273 fairways.
- Ndejje University secured second place with 36 points and 252 fairways.
- Kampala University came in third with 35 points and 254 fairways.

- Ndejje University – 36 points
- Kampala University – 35 points
- Eminents Woodball Club – 32 points
- University of Kisubi – 28 points
Standout Performers:
- In the men’s singles rankings, Musaazi Micheal from University of Kisubi led with 100 fairways won, followed by Agaba Moses of Kampala University with 97 fairways.
- Among the women, Nalubega Joyce from Ministry of Public Service stood out with 82 fairways won, while Babirye Nalwoga Noeline of University of Kisubi followed closely with 95 fairways.
This week’s event not only demonstrated the competitive nature of the Woodball League but also the growing talent within the sport in Uganda. With two more weeks left in the league, all eyes are on the upcoming matches to determine the ultimate champions.

Standout Performers:
Among the standout players, Agaba Moses from Kampala University led the men’s singles rankings with 88 fairways won, followed closely by Musaazi Micheal of University of Kisubi with 82 fairways. In the women’s singles category, Babirye Nalwoga Noeline of University of Kisubi shone with 78 fairways won, placing her at the top of the rankings.
This week’s league event marked another milestone for both men and women woodball teams, setting the stage for a thrilling final stretch in the league.
